90 Day Tithe challenge

what is it?

There’s only one place in the Bible where God told his followers to test Him. In the book of Malachi, when teaching about generosity, God said, “Test me in this and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven.” But it’s not about money. When it comes to our finances, what God really wants for us is our hearts and our trust.

Tithing - a giving principle that teaches us to give the first 10% of our income to the local church, being one of the most tangible ways we can worship God. It declares that He is first in our lives and opens our hearts to His plans. If you’re not tithing already, a great way to start is the 90-Day Tithe Challenge.

We believe wholeheartedly that God blesses those who live generously, so we want to issue a challenge: Tithe for three months and see what happens. If you don’t start to see a transformation in your heart and in your life, we will refund 100% of your tithe from that 90-Day period.  If you have questions, take a look at the FAQ’s and Guidelines below or contact Alli@reunion.tv.  If you are ready to take the challenge, just click on the link below to sign up.

FAQ’s And guidelines

  • Tithe literally means a tenth. It is the first 10% of your income, set apart as holy, it belongs to the Lord, and is brought to the local church.

  • Our main motivation to tithe should be simple obedience to God. He commands us to tithe, but also invites us to trust Him, test Him, and prove Him through our obedience. If we trust Him with the tithe, His promise to us is to ‘open the windows of heaven’ and pour out blessings we can’t contain. Our love for God should lead to obedience and trust.

  • The Bible references the Tithe and “First Fruits” many times. Here are a few references to get you started:

    Proverbs 3:9

    ,Malachi 3:10

    ,Luke 11:42

  • An easy way of putting God first in our finances as a “first fruits” offering to God is to bring the tithe ‘first’ or off the top when you receive your paycheck. If your pay is consistent, it is easy to set up recurring giving online.

Another suggestion is that when you make a budget, set the tithe as the first of your expenses taken out each month.

  • A full tithe is the first 10% of all your ‘increase’ or income. That means it should be calculated and given before taxes, insurance, retirement, and other deductions are removed from your income amount.

  • There are many ways to give at Reunion Church, including a check or cash (name on envelope) given in the black offering box located in the back of the Sunday gathering, online giving through the website, text-to-give, or contributions of stock, land or other assets can be arranged. Click here to get started.

  • Reunion Church is supported through your tithes and offerings.  Our budget is reviewed and approved by Reunion’s Management Team. The money you give goes towards paying rent, salaries, equipment purchases, ministry expenses, missions and pastoral care.

  • I understand I cannot seek a refund prior to the end of the 90-Day Tithing Challenge or for any contributions made outside the challenge.

I understand my tithe is a gift to the general fund and must be paid to Reunion Church by cash (name on envelope), check, Venmo, recurring gift or via logged in online giving, so that my tithe can be properly credited.  Click here to give online.

I agree that for 90 days, I will contribute a tithe equal to 10% of my income. If I am not convinced of God’s faithfulness to transform my heart and life as a result of my obedience to His Word, then I may request a refund at the end of this period.

“Test me in this and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven.”
